The Story
In a near-future city where lethal heat has reshaped everyday life, home-health nurse Samantha is just trying to finish her rounds before sunrise. But when compassion puts her on the wrong side of increasingly authoritarian emergency laws, getting home may only be the beginning. Burnout is a dystopian novella about survival, resistance, and what happens when caring for people becomes an act of defiance.
